Republican Myth (lie) #1

The Republicans are best at propaganda.

Making people believe complete lies as the truth. So perhaps the first myth is that they ever tell the truth, ever.  Of course the lie factory of Fox "news" contributes vastly to this elaborate world of lies.  But we must start somewhere.

Myth #1
Republicans care about the working class and have not sold their souls to the Wealthy.

This is a foundation that we must break down.  They want tax cuts for the to 2-3% but they have consistently ranted against Social Security.  Recently Republican leadership has

blatantly said our elderly are spoiled.  Yes those reports of our elderly grandparents resorting to dog food, well - they just have to tighten their belts don't you know.  But if they can use grandma to drum up shock and horror over "death panels pulling the plug on grandma" then somehow the elderly matter...for a short time.

Let's get this out in the open.

"What's amazing about the magic number of $250,000 is that, based on responses to a recent YouGov/Polimetrix poll, by and large, Americans have a very distorted view of how many people make that much money.

Any idea what proportion of American families make more than $250,000 a year? Or, to potentially make it easier, any idea what proportion of families in your state make more than $250,000 a year?

Don't feel bad if you don't know—most people don't. The actual number, nationwide is somewhere less than 3% of families earn more than $250,000 a year. What did the survey respondents say when asked this question? The average response was close to 17%!—meaning your typical survey respondent thinks that almost 1 in 5 families in America earn that kind of money, when the answer is closer to 1 in 50!"  Sara Robinson, Campaign for America's Future, Nov 23, 2010

Yep, only 1 in 50 FAMILIES make a quarter of a million per year.  And those higher taxes would only apply to the amount OVER $250,000.  Not the initial quarter million.

So, dumb shits, what is so hard to understand?  YOU ARE NOT PARIS HILTON and odds are against you ever being that well off. Those tax cuts did NOT stimulated the economy during the 8 years of W, so why do you think it will magically work now.  I believe it contributed to our economic woes.   Not one single job can be proven to be generated because of those tax breaks, but we can show how those tax breaks contributed to the economic disaster that W left for somebody else to clean up.

Small business owners are all scared that they will be sucked dry.  If you are making a quarter of a million a year IN CLEARED PROFITS, you are a well-to-do small business owner and guess what? You should pay your god damn fair share into the running of the country that you prosper under.

For the record, what creates jobs is NOT tax cuts but everyday people who can afford to purchase items or services which causes the company to hire more people to meet that DEMAND.  The company will still go out of business even if they have 0 taxes if no person can afford to buy from them.  So either the Republicans are dumb as rocks about economics 101 (in which case they should not be in leadership at all) or they are blatant liars who will do anything for the wealthy who have bought and paid for them!

The number one most effective economic stimulus is PROVEN to be unemployment pay.  Hands down.  But Republicans despise that because the money goes to average people who they just flat don't give a damn about.  It is that simple.

The Republicans would rather see the age you can start drawing on your Social Security raised to help fund war and the poor elderly are just going to have to give till it hurts, but let's not stress those sensitive rich people with taxes.

"The middle-class continues to struggle under the weight of 12 years of Republican policies; policies that transferred wealth from ninety-eight percent (98%) of the American population -- hard-working Americans -- to the two percent (2%) wealthiest Americans.

In the last 30 years, incomes for the wealthiest one percent of Americans rose 281% while middle-class wages have remained flat. Yet Republicans argue that letting the tax breaks for wealthy Americans expire would dramatically slow the economy and prevent job creation.

What the argument should highlight is the dispassionate position of the American rich and their UnPatriotic silence."  Jim Worth, The Selfish Rich of the 21st Century, Huffington Post November 26, 2010.

DID YOU KNOW that a large contributing factor to that deficit the Republicans hyperventilate about all the time is the Bush tax cuts to the top 3% of our nation!!! Yeah. The Republicans want the deficit to grow for the sake of their rich friends.

DID YOU KNOW that because of those Bush tax cuts to the top 3% we have been borrowing from China to cover our costs and keep running!!!  Yeah

The Republicans would just as soon keep the working class as slaves, pulling more and more taxes from you than their goods corporate and Wall Street buddies.  Because they are the ones who can buy their elections now that the Conservative Supreme Court Justices have started redefining who this country as being "for the Corporation, of the Corporation, and by the Corporation" rather than the people.

Every single time a Republican says they are doing something for the working class person, you had better follow the money because they are getting a pay off somewhere!  The Republicans are the slimy used car salesmen of  politics.  Fact check every single thing that comes out of their mouths.  And don't leave them alone with your daughter.  If you vote for any Republican you are voting to give more money to a wealthy people in America and take it from yourself.  It really is that simple.

This has been your wake up call.
